Road trip funnies

Road trips are the best! Where else can you be confined as a family for 10 hours straight? It gave everybody a chance to get to know each other little bit better. Here are some highlights of the conversations to and from California:
1. Wilbur likes the word "freakin". A few examples of this are: Disneyland is so "freakin' awesome and the churros are the "freakingest" best. Also I am so "freakin" hungry, and Millie get out of the "freakin" stroller.
2. Wilbur also was caught a few times saying "Hell". Of course this freaked Millie out. As the resident rule police she about fainted at Wilbur's first "H" bomb. I had a chat with Wilbur about his language and Sambo heard the conversation. It went like this:
Dad: Wilbur do you know what Hell means?
Wilbur: No what does Hell mean?
Dad: Hell is a place where the Devil lives. Do you know what the Devil is?
Sambo: Yeah like you know on Indiana Jones when that guy rips the heart out with his hands? That is what the Devil is.
3. Sambo wants to go to California on a mission. As we were driving to the bike race Sambo was looking at the fields of lemon, lime and orange trees in awe. After some deep thought he turned to Will and said "You know Will if you went on a mission here you could just eat lemons and oranges off the trees". Apparently all the talk of Devils and Hell had him thinking about holier things!
4. The topic of school bullies came up and Millie shared this nugget with us: She informed us that there is a girl on their bus and that she is a bully. We asked her what she does to be a bully and Millie said that once she called all the girls "Vaginas" on the way home from school!
5. Millie then asked me what is the most important part of a woman's body? This is how the conversation went "Dad, I know you do surgery on women and in your opinion what is the most important part of a woman's body? After composing myself I said "The Uterus, because that is where the babies grow". She looked at me somewhat confused and said I was just wondering because some boys at school say it is the "BOOBIES".
Really, "BOOBIES" ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Nightmare!!!!!
6. While we are on the topic of Millie, here is another gem. On the way down we stopped in Las Vegas for a little shopping. We were in vacation mode and on the prowl for some swimsuits. Holly shopped while I hauled the kids around Fashion Island Mall. She narrowed the search down to a handful of suits and tried them on for us so we could voice our opinion. I snuck in a super cute bikini hoping she would go for it. Anyway Millie saw Holly in the bikini and had an instant meltdown. She could not believe her own mom was trying on a bikini! Over the next hour the only thing we heard about was modesty! Good girl Millie, now can you please remember that for the next 10 years?

There were others but these seemed to stand out. Other activities that took place were Millie watching High School Musical 3 no less than 7 times, Will defeating every video game he has for his "Leapster", Sambo wanting to stop at EVERY gas station to get a snack, Holly trying to crack the mystery of the Rubiks cube (she actually solved the whole thing once, but I messed it up before we could get a picture), and me wanting to stop at every In and Out Burger on I-15. Great trip, great times, and like I said before "road trips are the best"!

boobies are totally not the most important part of a woman's body.

they're the second most important.
