Lake Powell

Lake Powell... We love love love it!
Each year it's the same - same pictures (just one year older), same activities, same fun.
Just a different beach. This time we stayed in Hall's Bay.
The weather was in the 90s and the water was perfect temperature. Lots of boating, swimming, water skiing, wake boarding, tubing, knee boarding, sliding, riding Sea-Doos, playing games, hiking, exploring, playing on the sandy beach, eating yummy food, wishing on shooting stars, relaxing.

Pretty much a default Powell vacation.

A few firsts:

1- Will and Cambree waterski!

2- A hike up "Hole in the Rock." This is a big crack in a cliff where the pioneers brought their wagons, horses, cows, and 250 men & women & children down in 1880. Seems impossible. Truly amazing. We did this hike on Sunday so this was our church lesson for the day. The hike was not easy and we were really proud of the kids for doing it!

3- Sambo goes cliff jumping

4- Caitlyn is old enough to drive the Sea Doo

Quincy was a "mernaid" loving every second! Several times a day she would ask somebody to swim with her. She is very good at wearing her life jacket all the time and just knows the houseboat routine.

All of the kids (ours and nieces/nephews) were very easy and enjoyable - they just get it because they have come here every year since they were babies. Everyday they all took a little nap - usually while on the ski boat. Something about the humming and movement always put them to sleep.

Anyway, thanks always to Grandpa and Grandma for providing such a great houseboat and for a super fun trip!

We are excited to go back again in September!
Warning: Picture overload!!!
