A friend {at cocomphotography.com} took these pics of Quinny.  It was quite impulsive - I noticed that her new "grown-up" tooth on top was coming in fast.  I wanted to capture her with baby teeth before they are all gone.  She was totally a good sport about it and seemed to actually like wearing her cute dress and fancy hair.  She just did whatever she was told.  I love her big dark eyes!

I know I'm her Mom, but I vote that she is THEE most adorable six year old around.  Even better, she is even more adorable in her personality and on the inside!

When I saw her pictures I was SPEECHLESS.

I love her more than she will ever, ever know.

Play Ball!

Can I just say that I really, really like to watch baseball.  I know a lot of people think it is too long and boring, but I have thoroughly enjoyed this baseball season and really look forward to the boy's baseball games.  I think it is because as they get older the games get more exciting, and also because it is so nice to sit outside in the warm Spring weather (well, mostly warm).  It is also fun to sit in the crowd with friends and family and cheer them on.

Will up to bat

This year, Sambo and Wilbur both play on the Monday Night Lights league but on different teams.  Sambo is a Diamondback and Will is a Knight.  Almost every FHE on Monday nights from mid-April through June have been spent at the ballpark.  Almost all of their games have been at the same time and the fields are right next to each other so it has been perfect to sit in the middle and be able to watch both  boys play.  They still have a few games left but have won about half of them.  This Super League is tough competition! We have loved having Grandpas and Grandmas, Aunts and Uncles come from Provo and Morgan to cheer them on!  Especially Grandpa Jim and Grandma Judy...they have been there almost every week.  Thank you!

Both boys also play on the city recreation league.  In this league Sambo was also a Diamondback {same coach, Buck} and Will played for the Red Sox.  The games were played at a park really close so it was real convenient. Both their teams went into the play-offs in 1st place and when the tournament was all said and done - Sam's team won 2nd and Will's team won 3rd.  Not too shabby!

Sam's strengths are hitting (when he isn't being mental), running/stealing bases, playing 2nd base, and pitching 1-2 innings.  Will's strengths are hitting, throwing, and catching any ball.  He mostly played 2nd base, 3rd base, and left field.  

Oh, and of course BS is at every game and practice helping to coach.  Somehow I missed getting any pictures of him.  Too bad because he is really cute in his coach's uniform.

But we were not the only ones that loved going to the games, Quincy loved to go too.

We look forward to a few more baseball games and will be sad when this season is over...unless it gets really hot.  We hope the boys will choose to continue to play baseball next Spring!

Fishing Strawberry

Summer and Strawberry are a few of the things we love most!  It also never hurts to have grandpa Jim piloting the Sea Nymph either.  As you can see from the scale, Wilbur landed the big fish of the day.  The boys are the lucky charms, as every time we go Grandpa, and both boys seem to get fish on at the same time.  As always, BS spent his afternoon setting lines, and netting fish.

SoCCeR!

Spring soccer was full o' fun!

Millie's team, the Jaguars, made it to the play-offs and won themselves a SECOND PLACE trophy!

Millie really improved from Fall to Spring and we loved watching her play.  She surprised us with her ability and she was even a bit aggressive!  The girls on her team were so positive and treated each other like family. She had a great experience but had a hard time deciding if she would play again next season. At this age soccer and dance are both big commitments, it's pretty much impossible to do both.  She would if she could, but we had to make her choose.  She decided to stick with dance.  

Oh well, at least she learned some soccer skills and had lots of fun!

With Millie's soccer games and both the boy's baseball games going on, it wasn't unusual for me to grab some food on the run between games. Quincy and I had a ritual of making a quick run to the gas station for a snack for the games. Not good, but so good.

DaNCe!

Since Fall, Millie has been dancing with a new dance studio really close by. It has been a perfect place for her to dance because it doesn't require such a huge time commitment as the other studios. She loves to dance and is not ready to give it up, but still wanted to be able to do other activities like soccer.  Last month was her dance recital.  As usual she put on a great performance and danced her heart out. She just shines on the stage and it's hard to take your eyes off of her.  Here, her group danced to "My Strongest Suit." I'm so glad she continues to dance because I really love to watch her!

She recently had dance company auditions for this coming year and she was the only one in her dance group to move up 2 companies!  So awesome!  We are very proud of her and look forward to many more dance performances.

Field Trip x 2

I was super lucky to go on 2 field trips this month - one with Will and the other with Quin.  They both happened to be to Thanksgiving Point, which was perfect because it's close and it was so nice to be outside in the warm sunny weather.  We had a great time and I love hanging out with these guys and their cute friends.  I love that my kids still ask me to go on field trips with them...I know it won't last!

I love my Mom

As part of my job with CJC, I have the opportunity to attend a conference in beautiful Midway at The Zermatt for 3 days.  I look forward to it every year!  This time around my Mom booked the condo and we had our own slumber party. After some shopping, we went to our favorite pizza spot for dinner and then cuddled in for a movie after the hot tub.  The last day, my conference ended early and we enjoyed a lunch date at The Homestead.  It was a perfect day.
 I love and appreciate this woman more than she will ever know.
