Garner family bash!

Garner Family. My Mom's brother and sister and their kin
The relatives on the Garner side have many birthdays in May. One of them is my cousin Mike's daughter Michaela - who had just received her mission call to Texas - so we made a big deal out of it and celebrated her farewell at a big birthday bash at the cabin.  Growing up we had countless celebrations at the cabin. So many great memories. It was a fun day for all!

Of course, cute Grandma and Grandpa were cooking and helping out
I love this picture of 2 of my favorite gals
Michaela, Marty, and Mike

The Garner originals. Love them lots!

Spring Dance Recital

This year the dance recital was extra neat because both Millie and Quincy performed together.
Millie danced 2 jazz, 1 ballet, 1 contemporary, and 1 novelty.
Quincy danced 1 jazz, 1 ballet, and 1 novelty. The novelty number was the dance finale that was a production number from "Newsies." It was so good! Millie was quite emotional because this was her last time dancing with this company...at least for awhile. She decided to take a break from dance (outside of Timberline dance company at school) to focus on tumbling and other things. It is a very strange thought to think about Millie not having dance competitions or recitals this year!
Anyway they both did a great job and it's always fun to watch them get dolled up and perform on stage. Proud of you girls!

Spring break continues in Las Vegas!

After spending 5 days in California, we drove back to Las Vegas to meet up with the Clarks and spend 4 more days! All but Candice and Doug were able to come so there were lots of cousins!

We stayed at The Mayan Resort which has an awesome pool with waterslides!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! It was so fun having baby Sunny, Nixon, and Jace there too!

Here the kids are messing around at the outdoor shopping on the South end of the Boulevard:
The last day we hiked up Red Rock Canyon and the kids were troopers!

Everyone had a blast and it was so fun to be together with this crew!  It is getting harder and harder to go on trips because there are so many family members. Good times!

2014 Winter Olympics at Island Park

What better way to watch the Winter Olympics than to snuggle up by a cozy fire in a cozy cabin in beautiful Island Park with people you love?!

We went the week before Valentine's Day and we enjoyed every minute. We left later in the evening so the kids slept most of the way and when we arrived at midnight, it was -34 degrees!  Brrr!
For the next 5 days we watched did lot of snowmobiling, a lot of olympic watching, a lot of playing in the snow, a lot of relaxing, and a lot of eating delicious food like homemade corn dogs :)

A few high lights:
-Millie and Sambo are official pros at driving their own snowmobiles and they did a great job keeping    up with the bunch! Will did some driving too, in fact he and Sambo traded off.
-The kids {with the help of BS} dug/built an enormous awesome snow cave.
- We snowmobiled to West Yellowstone and celebrated the Jan/Feb birthdays at a party at Wild West.
- Watching the skiing, figure skating, and snowboarding Olympic events in our jammies!

Christmas fun in SLC

I love going downtown.  By that I mean downtown Salt Lake City.  I always have.  I will jump in the car and drive there for any reason. In fact I make up excuses to go.
Leading up to Christmas we went downtown for some fun festivities:

As usual Grandma, Heidi, and I had an overnighter and all day shopping spree.
One of our favorite things to do together.

We met up with the family at the Conference Center for the Christmas concert and dinner.  So Good!

Millie and her cute friends planned a "Mother Daughter" date night.  We went to Temple Square and dinner at City Creek.  It was fun to hang out with the other moms who happen to be so nice and cool. I adore her friends and we had a great time!

We all had an awesome trip and it was even better having Cambree with us!
Thanks Uncle Shad!

Here we are on the drive home.  Quincy LOVES her new "Seat belt Pet!"

These kids are the best travelers ever!  Always have been!  I guess when you travel a ton they don't know any different.  We feel very blessed to be able to travel to so many places so often!
