It's a tradition to get a new outfit for church at Christmas time.  Don't they look great?!

Clark Clan Christmas party

As usual the Clark Christmas family party was a blast!  We started off at Fat Cats for some bowling and dinner. There is both Pizza Factory and Costa Vida so there is something yummy for everyone. The cousins have fun bowling together and the adults love it as much as the kids. My favorite part was my awesome strike caught on video ;)

After bowling we went to Grandpa Judy's for dessert, cousin gift exchange, a surprise visit from Santa, and acting out the Nativity story.  A couple of weeks earlier the adults went to dinner at Magleby's and did a White Elephant gift exchange.  It's too bad we didn't take any pics.  It was hilarious!  But it was great getting together with adults only so we could enjoy each others company and have more time at this party to focus on the kids. 18 of them! Grandma and Grandpa gave the kids cozy slippers and a certificate stating that they started a college savings account for each of them. Great idea! Grandpa told them that each time they deposited some of their own money into the account he would match it. So of course, Will is all over that! We ended the evening with kids acting out the Nativity story.
It was so sweet!

Christmas 2013

We spent Christmas at the cabin for the 2nd year in a row!
Last year was wonderful so we wanted to do it again.
Grandpa wins the prize for getting the best Christmas present this year...a hot tub from Grandma and the rest of us.  We have been putting money in a pot for a few years and we finally did it!  It faces the river and mountains so it is very nice and relaxing. Thumbs up :)

At the top of Quinny's Christmas list was a "Flippee," an animal hat. She got a kitty hat with a tail that flips up when she squeezes the pink part. Q loves anything that involves animals.  Will was so happy to get a new remote control helicopter.  Those things are so cool and he is a good pilot!
There was plenty of snow for snowmobiling and sledding. BS got sassy on the old Summit catching some sweet air haha!

More gifts included "Beats" by Dre, some ultra tech headphones (all 4 kids got them, but only so BS and I could use them), bike ramps, pedicure & shelac set, go-carts, iPad, air-soft guns, skis & ski gear, a Joke Box for Will, games, ...

Here, we are eating at Taggarts, one of our favorite Morgan spots after the boys spent the day hunting for rabbits and coyotes.  They got skunked but had fun anyway!

What would a week at the cabin be without good food?  Millie kept busy in the kitchen baking up delicious goodies with Grandpa and Grandma and giving mani's and pedi's. The boys stayed busy playing with their new games and toys and having air-soft wars with the big boys.

It was another perfect holiday week and we feel very blessed for wonderful family and an awesome place to spend Christmas! <3 nbsp="" p="">

Christmas fun in SLC

I love going downtown.  By that I mean downtown Salt Lake City.  I always have.  I will jump in the car and drive there for any reason. In fact I make up excuses to go.
Leading up to Christmas we went downtown for some fun festivities:

As usual Grandma, Heidi, and I had an overnighter and all day shopping spree.
One of our favorite things to do together.

We met up with the family at the Conference Center for the Christmas concert and dinner.  So Good!

Millie and her cute friends planned a "Mother Daughter" date night.  We went to Temple Square and dinner at City Creek.  It was fun to hang out with the other moms who happen to be so nice and cool. I adore her friends and we had a great time!

Christmas Tree & Live Nativity

We set out to get our Christmas tree at the tree farm in Alpine - for the 8th year in a row - and sadly it was closed.  We usually go on a Saturday but this year we were late getting our tree so we went during the week.  The kids didn't want to wait so luckily there was another place close by that was open.  We picked it out quickly...we weren't very picky because we knew we would be at the cabin for Christmas anyway. But actually, it ended up to be a near perfect tree for the front room of the rental house.

They offered free delivery to the house so we went to a local joint to grab some hot chocolate and treats, then to the meeting spot for the live nativity in Alpine.  This is really popular and we have never been since we moved from Mountain Green.  So many people come that now you have to reserve free tickets online because they can only accomodate 2500 people a night.  We were really excited to finally see what the big deal was.  I'm here to tell you it was fantastic!  Live animals, actors, atmosphere, hot cocoa and all.  The best part was the real sleeping baby with Mary and Joseph.
It was a fun and memorable night.

Christmas Morning

As mentioned previously, we spent Christmas at the cabin.  And Santa found us there!
It was so awesome. Amazing. Perfect. Fun!
For Christmas, Quincy wanted pretty much all stuffed animals.  Animals of every kind.
Will persisted in asking for money, again.  Except he also wanted normal "boy" things this year, as opposed to what he wanted last year {money machine, time machine, a maid, a massage chair}.
Sambo asked for the least amount of things, mostly boy stuff and a motocross bike.
Millie was different this year - asked for mostly clothes, shoes, and "girly" teenage stuff like jewelry and pedicures.
Santa did not disappoint!  These kids were on the nice list for sure!

Christmas Eve

BS and I made a last minute decision to spend Christmas Eve at the the cabin {Mom and Dad's}.  We didn't have any big or crazy Christmas gifts this year so we thought, why not?  We absolutely love it up there.  So cozy and quaint.  And lots to do.  Or nothing at all.
After the Clark Party we loaded up the car with all of the Christmas gifts {at midnight} and I drove it up to the cabin.  I spent the next morning wrapping and getting everything prepared.  Thanks Grandma Cindy for helping!  BS and I set out Christmas gifts and stuff in record time on the big night!

We spent Christmas Eve at Snowbasin Resort which is not too far from the cabin.  Anyone who has been to Snowbasin knows that the lodge is amazing!  Every Christmas Eve they have a celebration where they serve a delicious dinner, a torch parade down the ski hill, an entrance by Santa Claus on a lit-up sleigh, and a fantastic fireworks show!  The fireworks were seriously as good as the "Stadium of Fire."  Unbelievable.  The only problem was that it was soo stinking cold and windy.  Good thing we were only outside for 10 minutes.
